Bengaluru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has appointed B J Puttaswamy, his loyalist, as the new vice president of the state planning commission.
Puttaswamy, who belongs to the backward Ganiga community, is known for his proximity to the CM.
CM BSY also appointed Shankaragowda Patil, his loyalist from Belagavi, as his new political secretary. He is the third political secretary to the CM.
Earlier, the Chief Minister had appointed MLAs Renukacharya and S R Vishwanath as his political secretaries.
