Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Wednesday, announced a compensation of Rs 50 lakh for the family of the valiant soldier M.V. Pranjul, who lost his life in a fierce encounter with extremists in Rajouri district. The Chief Minister, paying his respects alongside Captain Pranjul’s body, acknowledged the soldier’s sacrifice in protecting civilians during ongoing discussions with the public. Captain Pranjul sustained critical injuries in the encounter and tragically lost his life.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, expressing deep sorrow, stated, ‘Our government will provide unwavering support to the martyr’s family. Captain Pranjul, who bravely confronted extremists, made the ultimate sacrifice for civilian protection. In this challenging time, our government will extend all necessary assistance to the family.’
The Chief Minister, along with Captain Pranjul’s body, was accompanied by a team from the Armed Forces who had operated alongside the late soldier. The encounter in Rajouri district witnessed intense fighting, resulting in Captain Pranjul sustaining severe injuries and ultimately sacrificing his life. The government assures comprehensive support and assistance to the family of the brave soldier who laid down his life in the line of duty.
