Bengaluru: After paying last respects to the brave NSG officer, Niranjan at the BEL ground, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced Rs 30 lakhs compensation and assured to support the bereaved family here on January 4.
Several other political leaders like Union minister Sadananda Gowda, Rajya Sabha member Rajiv Chandrashekar, senior army officers paid last respects.
The body will be kept at the ground for public to pay last respects before being flwon to his native village in Palakkad.
