Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has announced ex-gratia of Rs. 5 lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased in a road accident.
Taking it to Twitter Bommai said, “An amount of Rs. 5 lakh compensation to the kin of those who died in an accident near Hubli. Rs 2 lakh compensation from Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. I thank PM Modi for announcing Rs 2 lakhs to family members.”

As many as eight people were killed and at least 20 others were injured in an accident involving a private bus and a truck on the Hubballi-Dharawad bypass road during the early hours of Tuesday May 24.
