Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah allotted 5000 sites in Kempegowda layout first phase within 10 minutes using computer randomization technique on Thursday, November 10.

The Chief Minister had to just click the type of sites like 20×30, 30×40, 60×40 and 50×80 and everything fell in place and the entire process took less than 10 minutes. For the first time, computer randomization method has been employed to allot site numbers to applicants.

Speaking at his home office ‘Krishna’, CM Siddaramaiah said, applications will be invited to allot 5000 sites in Kempegowda layout 2nd phase during December.

Earlier lottery mechanism was employed to allot site numbers, whereas in the new method, the computer decides the site number. The new method is transparent and eliminates the earlier cumbersome process where each lottery slip had to be chosen and the entire lot of slips bearing site numbers had to be remixed before choosing the subsequent number.
