Bengaluru: Newly appointed city police commissioner Bhaskar Rao has assured a delegation of Kashmiri residents staying in Bengaluru, that protection will be provided to them. For this purpose, he has appointed Rohini Katoch as the nodal officer.

As many as 12 Kashmiri traders met Bhaskara Rao at his office seeking protection. Rao informed that all precautionary measures are in place in the city and that the police will prevent criminal activities.

He also assured the delegation that senior IPS officer Rohini Katoch has been appointed as the nodal officer to address the issues faced by the Kashmir residents.

The delegation informed the police about the fear amongst the 10,000 Kashmiris living in the city.
