Bangalore : Investigation authorities which are probing into the recent fire mishap in the SR Seating Company on Magadi Road which charred six workers to death, have  suspected that the fire was not due to a short circuit but due to a spark ignited by a lighted cigarette butt  thrown by one of the workers.

The police investigation has also revealed that  the six workers might have been killed after  they had to inhale the smoke mixed with carbon monoxide. Meanwhile, another worker Noor Hassan is said to be missing. Even his mobile is  switched off. The police have launched a search for him.

The police have already taken into custody the factory and building owners for interrogations. Tavarekere police are conducting the investigations under the direction of Ramanagara DySP Ramalingappa.
