Bengaluru/Shimoga: The Under 19 State Badminton Ranking Tournament took place at Rao Sports Arena in Shimoga District from July 10-15, 2023. Chris Anjan Baptist and Sumit AR defeated Abhishek KK and Lax Changappa in the doubles final, securing first place with scores of 21-11 and 21-18 respectively.

In the mixed doubles, Sumit AR and Sneha defeated Abhishek KK and Mushkan Khan in the final match with a score of 21-15, 18-21, 21-18. Krish Anjan Baptist and Sumit AR are the first PUC students of SDM Pre-Graduation College, Ujire.

Currently, both are practising at Selenite Sports Academy, Bangalore under the guidance of Vinod Kumar U former international player.
