Chitradurga: Two persons died on the spot while three others sustained serious injuries after a private bus rammed into a parked lorry near Aimangala in Hiriyur taluk.

The deceased have been identified as Arun (30), a native of Surat and Prashant (30) a resident of Ganakal village in Devadurga taluk of Raichur district.

The accident occured when the bus moving towards Bangalore from Goa collided against a cargo lorry on the National Highway 4 near Aimangala in Hiriyur taluk, Chitradurga district.

The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to the Sheridan Sanctuary. Three injured are being treated in the district hospital.

A case has been registered in Aimangala police station.
