
Bengaluru: A day after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) police recovered chemicals enough for the preparation of 50 tiffin box bombs from Chikkabanavara house, the NIA authorities approached Soladevanahalli police station against five suspected terrorists from West Bengal under the charges of terrorism.
The NIA lodged a complaint accusing that these five had hatched a conspiracy to explode bombs to cause loss of life and damage the public properties.
They alleged that these terrorists were planning to explode bombs in Bengaluru and surrounding areas including Goa to create an atmosphere of fear.
The NIA authorities informed that beside explosives, they also recovered grenades, air guns and other explosives from the house near Chikkabanavara.
The accused named in the FIR include K Habibur Rehman alias Sheikh, Nazeen Sheikh, Nazrul Islam, Asif Iqbal and Arif. All are the residents of West Bengal.
