Chikkaballapur: In order to put a break on sand mafia, Tahsildar Ashok has raided spot where illegal sand mining has been going on, here on Sunday, December 30.

On the confirmed information, Ashok conducted a raid at the Somayadala Halli lake, where a humungous load of sand was extracted and moved in a tractor.

Many such lakes in the district are devastated due to the sand mafia. Locals say that local administration has been turning blind eye towards the issue.
