Chikkaballapura: Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy has been urged by JD (S) workers to field new faces if he wants to win the Bagepalli Assembly Constituency.

At a meeting of JD (S) workers from Bagepalli – Gudibande Constituency held at a private hotel in Bengaluru, the party announced D. J. Nagaraj Reddy as candidate from JD (S) during the ‘Pancharatna Yatra’ and put pressure on Kumaraswamy to replace him.

It is learnt that during the ‘Pancharatna Yatra’, the workers stated that D. J. Nagaraj Reddy has been made party’s candidate, ignoring the loyal workers. And as he had failed to strengthen the party, they insisted on fielding Harinath Reddy or his son Nikhil Kumaraswamy or to field his wife Anitha Kumaraswamy who had earlier contested from Bagepalli Assembly constituency and lost.
