Chief Minister seeks co-operation to remove illegal flex banners

Bengaluru: A day after Karnataka High Court directed the City Police Commissioner to act upon the illegal flex banner menace in the city, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, on Sunday asked the BBMP to implement the High Court diligently.

The Chief Minister urged all political party representatives and party workers to co-operate in the cause and help towards keeping the city clean and make Bengaluru free of flex banners and illegal hoardings.

The CM stated that proper action will be initiated against officials exhibiting negligence in this regard.

Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy from his official account had tweeted, ” I have instructed the BBMP to execute the High Court order on removing all illegal hoardings and flex banners from the city immediately and to ensure that the order remained enforced.”

In another tweet, the CM said “I request all party leaders, party workers, political parties and other organizations to co-operate with the BBMP and the government in keeping Bengaluru free from flex banners and illegal hoardings. Let us all get together to keep our city clean and beautiful.”
