Bengaluru: The CBI’s Chennai branch sleuths have registered a First Information Report (FIR) in connection with the missing person case of Ajitabh Kumar, a techie from Bengaluru. Ajitabh went missing after he went to meet a person who had shown interest in buying his car which he had put up for sale online.
Ajitabh Kumar went missing in December 2017. Whitefield police had registered a case in this regard and as they weren’t able to trace him, Ajitabh’s parents had approached Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Rajanath Singh. Based on the directions of the home minister’s office, the CBI has registered an FIR.
The Bengaluru city police had formed 8 teams to trace Ajitabh Kumar but were unsuccessful.
