Bengaluru: Three more suspects have been arrested in connection with second PU Chemistry question paper leak case, here on Wednesday, April 13.
The arrested are Ranganath, Anil Kumar and Muralidhar.
According to sources from the CID, the trio were in touch with the kingpin Shikumaraswamy.
Earlier on Saturday, CID sleuths had taken two principals of private colleges into custody in Tumakuru.
The arrested were said to have helped students by procuring question papers and selling it to them through tuition centers run by them.
The investigating officials had seized some of the documents in those centers. But, most of the documents were said to be destroyed soon after the scam blow up.
Meanwhile, CID is looking for few more key players in the scam.
CID had arrested three accused in the case, Manjunath, Obalaraju and Rudrappa, on Monday, April 11. Two PT teachers, Anil and Satish were arrested on Wednesday. The suspected kingpin of the scam – Shivakumar Swamy, a former lecturer and also the prime accused in 2012 question paper leak case is yet to be traced.
