Bengaluru: “Majorities will soon turn minorities in the country”, predicted Union Minister for Skill Development Ananth Kumar Hegde, taking a jibe at the minorities citing an “increase in their population.”
“Minorities possesses a ‘special skill’ post marriage and should one need explanation on that?”,questioned Hegde. Those “skilled” people will out beat people from majority community easily as the latter are disciplined lot in terms of “skill “, said Hegde addressing a gathering at H M Prasanna Foundation on Youth Empowerment.
“There is need to stop this deluge and the need of the hour is to draw a line. Though few may term the views expressed as controversial and cynical, yet the time has come to stop the spurt in minority population,” said Hegde. To restore the sanctity of soil, each individual has to relate his blood to the land he lives in and not otherwise, stressed Hegde.
People grieving as backward have remained backward for ages and it has become a trend to identify oneself as backward and it is difficult to comprehend the reason behind such a motive, said Hegde.
Scientist Einstein praised India for contributing “Zero” to the world which led to modern revolution and if the same view were to be expressed by “Hegde”, then major controversy would have snowballed, minister said.
Terrorists did not kill nor destroy the inherent strength of India but few opportunists from within, said Hegde and called for total change in human mentality to become superpower stressing on mental make-up.
Nationalism cannot be restricted to one area or region but country as a whole with heritage, culture, history and beliefs embedded with peoples living , said Hegde taunting Congressmen, who often question about “proprietary based right wing nationalism.”
Technology and machines driven by IT cannot bring about radical change in human lifestyles but there is an essence for awakening among people to pull them out of bondage and age old slavery by creating an urge to earn the bread and facilitate that through skill development, explained Hegde.
The union government is committed to overall development of the country but caste based discrimination has to go and the same can be achieved through Hindutva based nationalism alone, emphasised Hegde.
Indian Institute of skill will be established in Bengaluru and few other cities akin to IIMs and IITs, said Hegde. Indian Skill Development Service will complement IAS and IPS in the future and seven skill development universities have been established across the nation, stated Hegde.
