Bengaluru: From the next academic year, the Common Entrance Test (CET) will go online.
After announcing the CET results-2019, higher education minister GT Devegowda announced that the state higher education department has started a discussion with the National Testing Agency (NTA) in this regard. “As the number of students appears for the CET is very high, the examination may be conducted in a phased manner. We are open to all the possibilities,” he said.
He also made it clear that all the professional colleges are directed to publish their fee structure in the notice board to ensure that the students do not face any problem and there is no question of extra fee haunting the students.
He also stated that the KEA has Rs.250 crores in its bank accounts. “This amount is collected from the students in the form of CET fee. Soon we will bring an amendment to the CET act to allow the state government to use this money for the development of the government engineering colleges across the state,” he said.
