Bengaluru: Ministers T B Jayachandra and Dr Sharan Prakash Patil announced the results of Common Entrance Test (CET) on Saturday.
Moodabidri’s Alvas PU College student G Ananth secured the first rank in CET for medical. He secured the first rank in Medical and Agricultural BSc, Veterinary Science, third rank in ESMH, 6th rank in D-Pharma and 18th rank in engineering. Hailing from Idagunji in Honnavar, Ananth is the son of Gajanana Bhat, Chemistry lecturer and Jayasheela, employee of High Court.
The first rank in engineering went to Bengaluru’s Sardar Patel college student Milind Kumar. Bengaluru PNR Institute’s C R Mrudula has secured first rank in architecture.
Bengaluru’s Aishwarya Mahadevan secured 2nd rank in architecture while Neha Sara Abraham of Bengaluru got 3rd rank in architecture.
Another boy from coastal region, Niranjan Kamath secured 2nd rank in engineering while Bengaluru’s Divya Jamakhandi got 3rd rank.
Bengaluru’s Sanjay M Gowdar got 2nd rank in Medical and Bidar’s Vachana Shree secured 3rd rank.
Of the 1.78 lakh candidates who had applied, 1.71 lakh students appeared for CET.
