‘CCTV cameras to maintain discipline among BBMP officials’

Bengaluru: In an intra-department meeting held on Tuesday BBMP Commissioner G. Kumar Naik has instructed the Additional Commissioner to install CCTV cameras in the corridors of BBMP head office.

In order to maintain discipline and morality among officials, BBMP Commissioner has made the decision, they also discussed various measures on how to ensure punctuality among BBMP staff. He advised the department heads to make use of the bio-metric system to ensure that employees came to work on time. “Also, ensure that they wear uniforms and ID cards,” he said.

He directed the chiefs to take stringent action against officials if they came late, and added that if they (chiefs) were on time, others too would follow them. Meanwhile, the Commissioner said that there were complaints of people smoking in the BBMP corridors and toilets.

“Let the anti-tobacco squad inquire the matter and based on their report, health inspectors should take action against those violating the rules,” Naik said.
