Bengaluru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths raided a godown and seized 1990 kg red sandalwood worth Rs 3.86 crore and arrested one person. The police have identified the arrested person as Hameed Khan alias Hameed (48 from Bommanahalli.
According to the police, the CCB sleuths conducted a raid on the godown in Parappana Agrahara police limits after receiving information about a person illegally hoarding red sandalwood logs. During the interrogation, the police found that 11 cases were registered against the arrested person by Chittoor police in Andhra Pradesh.

11 held for gambling
The City Crime Branch (CCB) police conducted a raid on Silver Star Recreation Video Parlour in vijayanagar police limits and arrested 11 people for gambling and seized Rs 28,070 cash, 23 mother boards and 46 keyboards from them. The police have identified the arrested persons as Ashoka (30), Manjunath (45), Ravi Kumar (56), Allabaksh (49), Venkatesh (38), Sakkaraibava (34), Babu (34) Shashikumar (24), Nawaz (26), Venkatesh (29) and Srinivasa (40).
A case has been registered at Vijayanagar Police Station.
