CCB police nab two for selling cocaine

Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths have arrested a Nigerian and a Ghana national and seized 20 grams of cocaine from them. The police have identified the accused as Ernest Ugah, 38, from Ghana and Fernand Ubah, 36, from Nigeria. The police said both have come to the city on business visa.

Preliminary inquiry revealed that the duo would purchase cocaine and methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) from their contact and sell them to customers for amounts ranging from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000 a gram, according to the police.

The police said the two had been booked under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1985 and investigations were on to ascertain the source of the drugs.
