CCB officials raid hookah bar, gambling club in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Officials from the Central Crime Branch (CCB) raided a hookah bar and a gambling club on Monday, September 16 night. The raid was conducted by two separate teams of CCB officials.

The raids were conducted on Uncle Johnny Cafe, a hookah bar falling under the Koramangala police station limits and MM recreation club, a gambling club falling under the KR Puram police station limits, according to joint CP, CCB Sandeep Patil.

From the hookah bar, the CCB officials seized hooka items and detained the owner, Sumanth. The officials seized Rs 70,680 in cash and detained 15 individuals including manager Chandra Babu and owner Manjunath, form the gambling club, Patil added.
