Bengaluru: Two persons were arrested by the Central Crime Branch, Bengaluru for trying to sell a two-headed snake while pretending to be delivery agents for an online delivery service.
A case has been registered against the two and a complaint has been filed with the Kaggalipura Range Forest Officer.
According to Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime, the accused arrested have been identified as Mohammad Rizwan and Azar Khan.
He informed that the two were trying to sell a two-headed snake, belonging to the Boidae family called Sand Boa.
He added that the snake is used o make medicines and that it is believed that the animal will brink good fortune.
The two have been booked under schedule four of the Wildlife Protection Act 1972.
