Bengaluru: Central Crime Branch (CCB) police launched a helpline after they found that a few rowdies across the city are threatening site owners to register sites in their name. If any landowner is being harassed by any anti-social element, they can lodge a complaint by calling 9480801555.
According to sources in the city police, the state government had recently transferred S Girish as the DCP of CCB to put a stop to the rowdy elements, who are easily making money through real estate deals.
“On Thursday night, he had raided the houses of several rowdies. To his surprise, he recovered documents of 120 sites. Based on this, he found out that these rowdies are active in real estate deals and so, he launched a helpline. The first complaint lodged was from a US-based NRI against a rowdy in Nagarabhavi,” said sources.
