Tumakuru: Huliyaru is a small town in Chikkanayakanahalli taluk of Tumakuru district. A boy of this tiny village made the entire state proud by securing the first rank in the entire Chennai region in the CBSE class X examination results, which was announced on Monday, May 6.

D Yashas, a student of Vidyavaridhi International School of Huliyaru secured I rank in the CBSE class X by securing 498 marks fout of 500.

Speaking to the reporters, Yashas informed that he will pursue BE in computer science from any of the IITs.

Son of Devaraj and Netravathi couple, farmers from Kayi Thimmanahalli village said he didn’t go for any tuition. “I was using the smart phone to clarify my doubts,” he said.
