Bengaluru: Shortly after Congress MP D K Suresh alleged that they had privy information about possible CBI raids on few Congress MLAs’ properties, including his brother and Congress party’s go-to-man D K Shivakumar, the Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday, May 31 conducted simultaneous raids at places of relatives and aides of Shivakumar. The raids were carried out at five places in Bengaluru, Kanakapura and Ramanagara.
At a press conference held earlier in the day, D K Suresh had alleged that Narendra Modi-Amit Shah were targeting his family and were making efforts to finish them politically. Further, he said that Modi and Shah were using the CBI as a tool to target opposition leaders.
“As per information received by us on Wednesday search warrants have been issued against 11 Congress MLAs. We will not bow down to such pressure tactics of the BJP. We have not done anything wrong and are ready to face any investigation. We respect the Indian judiciary”, he said.
