Mysuru: Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) adjourned the hearing on the transfer of IAS officer B Sharat from the post of the Deputy Commissioner within a month of posting.

Next date of hearing will be on November 10.

It can be recalled that on September 29, Sharat was replaced by Rohini Sindhuri as the DC. This administrative decision was taken to contain the spread of Covid 19 in the district.

On Tuesday, when the CAT resumed hearing, the state government requested the CAT not to consider Sharat’s application as it is purely an administrative decision.

It also referred a few Supreme Court judgements in this regard.

Later, the CAT adjourned the hearing to November 10.
