Bengaluru: Evaluation process for Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exams, scheduled to start on Sunday, is likely to be affected by a shortage of evaluators as some are on socio-educational survey duty.

Officials in the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) said out of the 57,000 teachers assigned to evaluate answer scripts, 7,000 have been deputed to the ongoing survey work.

A KSEEB official told sources, “Lack of evaluators will delay evaluation by a few days.  But, announcement of results won’t be delayed.”

SSLC evaluation work will not start on Sunday at these centres as the Karnataka Public Service Commission exam is slated for that day: Bengaluru North and South, Bengaluru Rural, Mysuru, Dharwad, Belgavi, Vijayapura, Raichur, Kalaburgi, Gadag, Shivamogga and Ballary.
