Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who had a hectic schedule the last couple of months due to issues like Anti-Corrution Bureau, question paper leaks and a fewothers, will be now facing the dauting task on reshuffling the Cabinet.
Around 25 legislators met the CM at his residence on Saturday, seeking removal of 25 ‘non-performing’ ministers’ out of the total 34. They also demanded first-time legislators to be made ministers without giving priority to seniors.
A Cabinet minister has ruled out the removal of 25 minsters as that would lead to more problems. The CM would go by caste, community and region while going for the Cabinet reshuffle, expected to take place before the end of this month.
Siddaramaiah would be consulting AICC in-charge for Karnataka, Digvijay Singh, AICC President Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi about the reshuffle.
According to sources, CM will be considering legislators of Mumbai-Karnataka and Hyderabad-Karnataka region for induction at the time of reshuffle. Those not accommodated in the Cabinet, will be likely appointed chairpersons of various boards and corporations.
