Bengaluru: In a bizarre turn of events, a cab mowed down two persons who were fighting over a minor road accident at Yalahanka in Bengaluru.

The deceased have been identified as Shrinivas (32), a contract worker at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL) from Hunasemaranahalli and Ganesh (42), a cab driver for KSIDC from Kurubarahalli.

Shrinivas was returning on his bike from KIAL on July 26, when a cab driven by Ganesh bumped into his bike near the Cafe Coffee Day. The incident soon escalated into a full-blown fight. Pushing and shoving each other, the duo ended up on the middle of the road, when another cab plying from KIAL smashed into them.

While Ganesh was tossed 4 feet in the air by the impact, Shrinivas got stuck under the cab and was dragged for 50 meters before the cab came to a halt. The police said, Shrinivas was killed on the spot, whereas Ganesh breathed his last later at a hospital.

Police have arrested the cab driver involved in the accident.
