Bengaluru: A BMTC driver was killed in a road accident, after his bike was hit by a bus on Thursday, July 27.

The deceased has been identified as Ravi (36). He was a resident of Hulimavu.
According to police, the incident occurred at Kolifarm Junction near Viewers colony when a bus attached to Presidency School hit Ravi’s bike from the rear side.
Ravi, who was profusely bleeding, was shifted to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. Pillion rider Martin sustained severe injuries and is under treatment in a private hospital.
The accused bus driver, Jagadeesh has been arrested and a case was registered against him as well as the school authority.
According to police sources, Ravi was in a hurry as the higher official summoned him to report to duty as early as possible after the three day-long strike ended on Wednesday evening.
Hence, Ravi was speeding towards the Gottigere depot (34), to which he was attached, in considerably high speed.
