Bengaluru: Chief Minister of Karnataka BS Yediyurappa is celebrating his 77th birthday today and many top leaders across the political spectrum have wished the birthday boy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted a birthday wish and said: “Birthday greetings to Karnataka’s hardworking CM @BSYBJP Ji. He is passionately working for the state’s progress, especially on farmer welfare and rural development. I pray for his long life and good health.”
Minister for Defense Rajnath Singh tweeted, “Birthday greetings and warm wishes to Karnataka CM, Sh. BS Yediyurappa. He has distinguished himself as a diligent administrator, who is working hard to ensure a prosperous Karnataka. I pray for his good health & long life. Looking forward to attend his felicitation. @BSYBJP”
Former Prime Minister HD Devegowda too tweeted and wished BSY good health.
The CM himself had tweeted on the eve of his birthday and said, “As I enter a new year of my life tomorrow, I am indebted to all the love and support that I have recieved from all of you at every stage of my life. Whatever I have achieved today is a result of the blessings and faith that the people of my state have showered.”
BJP leaders like Jagaish Shettar, CT Ravi among others too wished BSY.
The birthday bash of the CM will be held at Palace Grounds today, in which, apart from Rajnath Singh, four former CMs-HD Kumaraswamy, Siddaramaiah, SM Krishna and DV Sadananda Gowda will participate and speak about their experiences with BSY during their political career.
