Bengaluru/New Delhi: Though there have been talks making rounds that KS Eshwarappa’s supporters outnumber supporters of BS Yeddyurappa, an incident has reportedly taken place in New Delhi on Saturday, April 29 kind of reaffirming these talks.
If sources are to be believed, then BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa was in Delhi on Saturday, specifically to bring to the attention of the high command and senior party leaders the activities of the splinter group led by K S Eshwarappa, but to BSY’s dismay, national General Secretary (organisation) Ram Lal reportedly refused to grant him an audience.
As per sources, Ram Lal’s decision to not give an appointment to Yeddyurappa was driven by the fact that he wanted to learn about the dissent brewing within BJP in Karnataka from a neutral source. With most of the national leaders remaining unavailable, BSY reportedly returned to Bengaluru the same afternoon.
With this purpose, BJP state in-charge Muralidhar Rao is expected to visit Bengaluru on Saturday at 5 pm and assess the situation.
Meanwhile, the rebel faction too is expected to register its complaints against B S Yeddyurappa with the high command.
As of now, the party loyalists and the old guards who have taken the rebellious path, both are awaiting Rao’s visit so that they can present their point of view.
