Bengaluru: In a significant development, R.D. Patil, the mastermind behind the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) scandal, has been apprehended by the police in Maharashtra.

After eluding authorities for the past 10 days, Patil was caught in a police trap in Maharashtra, bringing an end to his evasion of the law. He had been in hiding since escaping from Kalaburagi’s Varada apartment.

The police are currently in the process of bringing him back to Karnataka for further legal proceedings.
