Bengaluru: A 37-year-old person accused of killing his two minor children in 2020 died by suicide jumping from the fifth floor of the City Civil Court Complex in the City on Wednesday April 13.

The deceased has been identified as Jatin R. Kumar. On the afternoon of Wednesday, he was brought from the Parappana Agrahara Central Prisons to the court complex for a hearing. He was walking along with police officials when he pushed a constable and jumped from the fifth floor. Though taken to a nearby hospital, he was declared brought dead.

Jatin was arrested in March 2020 for allegedly killing his three-year-old daughter and 18-month-old son by smothering them with pillow. Kumar a native of Kerala, was married and lived with his wife, two children in an apartment in Hulimavu. As he was unemployed at the time, the couple fought a lot and in fit of rage killed his children.
