Bengaluru: The Union Ministry of Science and Technology has approved six private laboratories from around the country to conduct genome sequencing of Covid – 19 samples. Four of them are from Bengaluru.

The Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG) has approved Strand Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd., Genotypic Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Medgenome, and Eurofins Genomics India Pvt. Ltd.

CARINGdx, Mahajan Imaging Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, and Neuberg Supratech Reference Labs Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, are the other two labs that have been approved.
