Bengaluru: ‘Mini mini powder’, a phrase used by former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy to describe the Mangaluru airport bomb, has resulted in hundreds of memes and other forms of trolling. Just like the ‘Nikhil Yelliddiyappa’ memes, ‘mini mini powder’ was also used extensively on social media and television to make fun of the former CM. It also featured in a couple of Yakshagana plays.

Now, however, all of this will come to a stop as the 20th civil court of the city has banned the making of all kinds of memes using these wordings along with HDK’s video or photos.

S Ismail, the advocate representing the JD(S) leader, argued in court that these memes are hurting his client and affecting his self-esteem. The court issued a stay order on the memes based on the argument.
