Messages sent from aggrieved persons to control rooms will immediately flash on the tablet in the nearest patrolling vehicle, which will then rush to the spot.

“By using modern gadgets in our Hoysalas and Cheetahs we intend to minimize response time in addressing grievances,” police commissioner MN Reddi said. “This will help build a relationship of trust between the police and the public.”

The control room will locate the nearest Hoysala and send details of the complainant, location and nature of the complaint through software installed in the tablet. The Hoysala will then immediately rush to the spot and attend to the complaint.

SMART!!!
