Bengaluru: Contagious black fungus cases are now reported even from Covid-19 infected kids. On Saturday June 4, a boy from Hassan whose eyes were infected by the black fungus was rushed to the Victoria Hospital in the city for further treatment.

According to the data, till now 1914 persons have been infected by black fungus. As many as 122 persons succumbed to this infection. All the new infections are reported from the Covid 19 patients. 

Meanwhile, amid drug shortage, the State Government announced that the treatment prices will soon be fixed in the private hospitals. Health and Medical Education Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar informed that the government will issue an order in this regard soon.
