Bengaluru: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yuva Morcha plans to organize a week-long bike rally to create awareness among the voters on the Congress government’s failures in the state.
“Karunada Yuva Jagruthi Yatre will begin from tomorrow and conclude on April 5. It will cover 224 Assembly constituencies in the state,’’ Yuva Morcha president and Mysuru MP Pratap Simha told media persons here on Wednesday.
He said the Yuva Morcha volunteers would organize meetings at all villages to highlight the corruption and failure of the Congress government. “The volunteers will distribute pamphlets that have a detailed information about the Congress government that failed to meet the peoples’ expectations,’’ he said.
He said the Yuva Morcha did not submit a list of candidates seeking tickets to contest in the forthcoming Assembly elections. “BJP state leaders are aware of the hard work and contribution of Yuva Morcha volunteers. I think there is no need for me to submit a list to the State BJP leadership,’’ he said.
Coming down heavily on autocratic style of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, he said that Siddaramaiah has been behaving like a king of Mysuru. “His contribution to Mysuru is the construction of four buildings. He considers Mysuru as his fiefdom,’’ he said.
The Mysuru MP said the Congress government has not taken action against PFI and KFD activists who are responsible for the murder of RSS and BJP workers. “The government has failed to take action against those who attacked government officials. Some of the senior government officials were humiliated,’’ he said.
He was not comfortable at the press meet when a few media persons asked him about a few BJP leaders seeking tickets for their kith and kin to contest in the forthcoming Assembly elections. “Seeking tickets for kith and kin is the culture of Congress leaders. I am not aware of BJP leaders lobbying for their children and relatives. I need not answer this query,’’ he said.
