Bengaluru: The executive committee of Karnataka BJP Minority Morcha on Tuesday wanted the state government to establish Christian Development Corporation and implement Anwar Manippady’s report on the misuse of Wakf properties in the state.

The executive committee of Karnataka BJP Minority Morcha meet convened at the Town Hall in Bengaluru has decided to pressurize the state government to constitute Christian Development Corporation and implementation of Anwar Manippady’s report on the misuse of Wakf property in the state.

B S Yeddyuappra, BJP state president has appreciated the volunteers of the BJP for the success of BJP Minority Morcha meet in Bengaluru. “I want people from all communities should live like a family in the country. We will chalk out plans for the development of Christians and Muslim and other minority communities in the state. There was no instance of any injustice to minority communities during BJP’s five-year rule in the state. Congress government has done anything for the development of minority communities in the state,’’ Yeddyurappa said.

Speaking on the occasion, former deputy chief minister R Ashok criticized the state government for demolishing the buildings of poor and middle-class people in Bengaluru for allegedly encroaching storm water drains. “The authorities did not dare to take similar measures when it comes to buildings belonging to affluent people, including film actors,’’ Ashok said.

He said the Congress government-led by Siddaramaiah has failed in all fronts and bandhs and agitations have become the norm of the day. “People are not sure what is in store for them. The state government has failed miserably to solve the problems of the people,’’ he said.

Coming down heavily on Congress government for its failure to present the state’s case effectively in the Supreme Court, he said the Congress government would be responsible for the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. “The voters will teach a lesson to Congress in the next Assembly elections,’’ he said.

Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Azeem, president, BJP state minority morcha, said the government should not release Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. “I am sure about minority communities supporting BJP in the next Assembly elections. I want the BJP leadership to reserve 10 Assembly seats for the candidates from minority communities,’’ he said.
