Bengaluru: The opposition party BJP has decided to stage a massive stir on December 10, the first day of the Winter Session in Belagavi, against the government’s failure to ensure sugarcane farmers’ dues are paid by the government.

A decision in this regard was taken during the party state unit meeting held in the city.

As per the plan, multiple teams formed by the party will visit the nook and corner of the state between December 3 and 9. “On December 10, all the leaders will arrive at Belagavi with thousands of farmers who will hold a massive rally.

“We are holding this protest as the state government is not fulfilling any of its assurances including the farm loan waiver scheme. We want the state government to respond to the agrarian crisis,” said party leader Aravind Limbavali.
