Bengaluru: In order to decide candidates for Kundagol and Chincholi Assembly constituencies, the Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to call for state leaders’ meet on Thursday, April 25.

As both the constituencies will be facing assembly by-elections on May 19, the last date to submit the nominations is on April 29.

The by-elections in these constituencies is because BJP Gulbarga Lok Sabha candidate Dr Umesh Jadhav had resigned from the MLA post in Chincholi and State Municipal Administration Minister C S Shivalli’s untimely demise. C S Shivalli was the MLA from Kundagol.

Speaking to the media, BJP State General Secretary Aravind Limbavali said that a meeting would be held with BJP district leaders of the respective districts and then a final call would be taken.
