Bengaluru: Finally, the Bharatiya Janata Party has taken action against its disgruntled Yesvantpur MLA, ST Somashekhar.

The party has served him a show cause notice for allegedly working for the Congress party, despite being a member of the party and representing the party as an MLA.

Speaking to reporters, state BJP chief R Ashoka said that the party came to know that Somashekhar was working for Congress instead of BJP. Hence, he was served a show cause notice asking him why action should not be taken against him for breaching the party’s discipline. Additionally, a formal complaint was lodged with the Assembly Speaker in this regard. He said Somashekhar still has an opportunity to work for the party.

Somashekhar, during a meeting with his supporters recently, had openly stated that he would support the Congress in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
