
Bengaluru: As 15 Assembly constituencies will be going for by-polls on December 5, the BJP has geared up to make sure the candidates fielded by the party emerge victorious. For this, the party has decided to bring in ‘star campaigners’ in order to attract the voters.
According to the party sources, the star campaigners are listed according to the popular choice.
In the list BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel stands first, followed by Chief Minister Yediyurappa, Union ministers D V Sadananda Gowda and Pralhad Joshi at third and fourth, respectively and BJP national general secretary (organization) B L Santhosh at fifth.
Karnataka state in-charge Muralidhar Rao, BJP state organizing general secretary Arun Kumar, MLA Jagadish Shettar, DCMs Laxman Savadi, Govind Karjol, Dr Ashwath Narayan and other parliamentarians and legislators are also included in the list.
As per the reports, BJP leaders S M Krishna, Malavika Avinash, MPs Tejaswi Surya, Ananth Kumar Hegde, and MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal are not being included in the list of ‘star campaigners.’
