Bangalore: In its zeal to list out mistakes of the government headed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the state unit of BJP conveniently added some lapses of its government to that of the Congress, on Saturday. After releasing two books on 101 mistakes of the local government and a hundred scams of the UPA government in New Delhi, state unit president Prahlad Joshi said at the party office, in Bangalore that ministers were inactive and the governments had neglected governance.
He, however, evaded a reply when asked how the garbage pileup in Bangalore, which hit the headlines during the BJP rule, could be listed as a failure on the part of the Congress government.
Joshi charged that instead of visiting drought and flood affected districts, ministers were frequently visiting their home constituencies. Even Siddaramaiah showed little interest in addressing problems of people in drought-hit districts.
Besides, the government dropped of popular schemes launched by previous governments and resorted to politics of appeasement. Though the Chief Minister sanctioned 25 crore for arecanut growers, the govt did not release the funds so for, Joshi added.
