Bengaluru: With less than 48 hours to go for the election of Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) chairman, the BJP moved seven of the Federation’s directors to Mumbai.
Six of the directors are Congress supporters while one is a JD(S) supporter.
According to sources, the BJP decided to move these directors to Mumbai to ensure an easy win for their candidate, the government-nominated Balachandra Jarakiholi.
All the seven directors were taken to Mumbai in a special flight and lodged in a hotel.
The KMF chairman election has been scheduled for August 31. JD(S) leader and former PWD minister H D Revanna is the other candidate for the chairman’s post.
