Bengaluru: After Chief Minister Kumaraswamy failed to make any announcements for the coastal Karnataka in his maiden budget of the Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition government in the state, BJP MLAs from the coast held a protest in front of Gandhi Statute in front of the Vidhana Sabha here on June 6.

BJP MLA Sunil Kumar said that chief minister who frequently visits the temples in coastal Karnataka has neglected the region in the budget.

He also alleged that the CM had neglected the region because the people in the coastal region did not support JDS.

Many MLAs took part in the protest.
