Bengaluru: MLA delegation led by Athani MLA Mahesh Kumathalli urged the CM BS Yediyurappa to induct Arabhavi MLA Balachandra Jarkiholi to cabinet and give him the major irrigation department portfolio.

It can be recalled that Balachandra’s elder brother Ramesh Jarkiholi, who was the Minister of water resources, quit the cabinet after a controversial CD emerged.

The delegation also urged the CM to order for an inquiry into the allegations of conspiracy behind the CD.

Presently Balachandra is serving as the chairman of the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF).
