Bengaluru: The CBI, which is investigating the murder case of Yogesh Gowda, a BJP leader from Dharwad, recorded the statement of the then home minister Dr G Parameshwar.

Gowda, a supporter of union minister Prahlad Joshi was murdered on June 15, 2016 and since then the BJP has been accusing the role of a senior Congress leader in his murder.

Parameshwar, who was then the home minister had stated that Gowda was murdered over land dispute. Now, the CBI has recorded his statements in this regard.

According to the sources, Parameshwar informed the CBI officials that he had made the statement that Yogesh was murdered over land dispute based on the inputs he received from the then police chief.
